Grief support group for English speaking people in the Copenhagen area – Bereaved by suicide

Do you live in the Copenhagen area, and have you lost someone to suicide?
The local Copenhagen department of Efterladte efter Selvmord (bereaved by suicide) welcomes you in our English-speaking grief support group.
The goal of the group is to meet others in the same circumstances and to share our experiences and listen to others. We cannot take away the awful thing that has happened, and we cannot treat you grief, but we can offer a community where your feelings and experiences will not be questioned.
The meeting takes place at Johannes på Torvet, Sankt Hans Torv 30, 2200 København, 7 pm – 8:30 pm.
It is okay to talk about the pain, the loss and the difficult feelings.
What is discussed in the group is confidential.
There is no obligation to share – you can also participate just to listen.
The meeting is facilitated by our volunteers, who have themselves experienced loss to suicide.
We offer tea and coffee and something sweet at the meeting.
Please note that we do not offer professional counseling. If you are looking for professional help, please contact a relevant healthcare professional, and, if you are fearful for your own safety, contact the police.
IMPORTANT! Please register for participation by January 17 at 6 pm here: https://efterladte.nemtilmeld.dk/750/
At our events you will meet others who have been bereaved by suicide. You will get the chance to share your experience with others in similar circumstances. Our meetings are naturally confidential. Our meetings are informal, warm and there are no taboos. You are always welcome to bring a friend or support person of you want – please register them as well, so we do not run out of coffee.
Best regards,
